 According to Jennifer Hudson’s upcoming book, “This: How I Changed My Ways and Lost What Weighed Me Down,” the actress was originally offered the role of Precious (Gabourey Sidibe ended up taking the role). Hudson said she was deeply moved by the film but wanted to do a movie not focused on her weight. Instead, she chose to star in the first “Sex and the City” movie.
